PROGRAM DETAILS

Introduction

Purchasing and Procurement is the engine room of every organisation. Whether it is the purchases of cost of sales, materials, inventories, overhead expenses or capital expenditure, there are expenses and assets that need to be procured efficiently and effectively to optimise returns and ensure that every business is getting value for money.

The cost of sales often represents as high as 80% of sales, and capital assets often represents as high as 60% of total assets. Inventories that are slow moving could cause major cash flow problems. The Tendering Function also plays a pivotal role in public sector procurement and has to be managed within a practical and cost-effective manner and handled with absolute integrity and honesty.

This seminar focuses on the practical issues surrounding the Procurement and Tendering Function for any organisation in the private and public sector to ensure that the right procedures and checks and balances are in place to minimise losses, disputes and liabilities.
