PROGRAM DETAILS

Introduction

This short training programme is aimed at improving the delegate’s knowledge and understanding of the various principles of operation involved in producing, handling and processing natural gas and associated fluids. In this programme you will learn how to:

  • increase learning and comprehension of the various systems,
  • contributing towards safe, efficient and economic operation of plant and equipment.

This workshop will improve delegates’ knowledge about various aspects of the production operations and injection facilities. These include surface facilities; oil-gas separators; gas compression; gas refrigeration and cryogenic processes as well as gas treatment in gas dehydration (TEG plant) as gas sweetening by (DEA plant.

The course will touch on upstream as well as downstream operations.   The gas pipeline and storage tanks will be discussed in details.  The course will discuss good number of real cases and how to handle the LNG economy and its market.

Learning Objectives

By completing this training course the candidates will:

  • Describe the LNG systems involved and their control.
  • Learn about the important design principles of each LNG system and operational characteristics
  • State the hazards associated with LNG operations
  • Understand the basic concepts and principles of operation involved when dealing with equipment used in LNG plant
  • List the precautions taken when dealing with chemical and toxic substances and in particular demonstrate an awareness of the hazards associated with Hydrocarbons.

Learn in good details the:

  • The LNG market and its economy
  • The LNG price and challenges
  • The LNG transportation & storage

Training methodology

The seminar will use a range of interactive activities – group and individual exercises, case studies and discussions. There will also be formal inputs of theory and practical models. The programme is geared towards effective application of what has been learned in order to maximize the value of the seminar to both the individual delegate and his/her organization.
