Introduction
Supply Chain program is a new industry ridden academic and practical applied program created to meet the rapidly changing needs of the supply chain management field. From the manufacturing to the service industry, regardless of whether a company is serving business or consumer markets or is for profit or not-for-profit, the increasingly important role of Supply Chain Management is affecting all organizations. Customers already expect good quality at low prices, and speed of delivery is becoming more important. As a result, effective supply chain management has become essential to successfully compete in today’s global marketplace and challenging business environment. The program takes a broad view of the field, extending beyond internal and external operations to encompass all the steps throughout the supply chain—from the supplier, through the organization, to the end consumer—and provides you with the knowledge to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize a company’s value chain. Understanding on Supply Chain link also will help reduce the cost and increase the profit.
Logistics
Logistics encompasses all activities from purchasing materials to delivery of your final products or services to the consumer. These key operations include: customer service, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, order processing, packaging, sales forecasting, production scheduling, and the selection of plant & warehouse locations. The objective of this seminar is to show how all these elements can, and must be managed as a “system” if profits are to be maximized. The program format provides real world experience in strategic and operational issues in distribution.
Learning Objectives
Course designed for those already working, or who wish to work, in a supervisory or first line management role in transport and logistics or in warehousing and production. The course covers principles, processes involved in logistics & warehouse management and also relevant to participants room a range of backgrounds, looking for a production planning, logistics, transportation or warehousing or entire supply chain process. It is ideal for current or aspiring Supply Chain Practitioners logisticians’ executive or managers wishing to further their career with a formal logistics or warehousing qualification.
