PROGRAM SCHEDULE
Ref No: HS 119 Program Name: Confined Space Awareness & Compliance
PROGRAM DETAILS
Introduction
Confined spaces pose significant risks in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, energy, and utilities. This five-day training program is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of confined space hazards, regulatory compliance requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and safe work practices. The course covers key definitions, hazard identification, permit systems, atmospheric testing, emergency procedures, and responsibilities of all personnel involved in confined space entry operations.
The program also addresses the roles of entry supervisors, attendants, and entrants, emphasizing the importance of communication, monitoring, and rescue planning. By the end of the course, participants will be able to recognize confined space hazards, interpret compliance requirements, and contribute to the development of effective confined space programs within their organizations.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the definition and classification of confined spaces.
- Identify hazards associated with confined space entry and work.
- Interpret key legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Recognize roles and responsibilities of confined space team members.
- Understand safe entry procedures, permit-to-work systems, and atmospheric monitoring.
- Prepare and evaluate confined space entry programs and emergency plans.
- Promote a safety culture and risk awareness in confined space operations.
Target Audience:
- Safety Officers and Safety Engineers
